JUNIOR VOLUNTEERS - WE HAVE ANOTHER FUN PROJECT FOR YOU!
Making a Holiday goodie package for a foster dog!
Contact Santa's Helper Amy S., at: myfrenchie3613@yahoo.com who will help you pick out a foster dog who could use some Christmas or Hanukkah presents this year. It can be anything-- treats, toys, cards, whatever you think a little Frenchie needs to enjoy the wonders of the season! Amy can even help you know a little something about your Frenchie's likes and dislikes, and if there are any allergies or special cautions you need to take. After you've put your package together (and just so you know-- Frenchies REALLY love it when their gifts are handmade) be sure to take pictures while you're working on your package or before you send it off to your grateful little Frog Dog, and send them to: Kathi L. at frenchiehelper@aol.com.
Maybe YOUR foster Frenchies package will wind up on the Jr. Volunteer page! |
There are a number of independent activities which an FBRN Jr. Volunteer may do. Here are a few ideas. Please keep a few things in mind, though:
* All activities done for French Bulldog Rescue Network must be approved in advance, contact Courtney E.
* All activities should mention, either on a flyer, invitation, or poster that: “Proceeds to benefit French Bulldog Rescue Network.”
* FBRN does not assume any liability or expenses involved with any of the activities done.
* Any monies collected during the activity should be documented quickly and sent in a timely fashion to FBRN. Contact Laurie S. at laurieb76@aol.com to find out how!
FOSTER PALS
Help 'your' very own foster dog! When you join the FBRN Jr. Volunteers, you'll be sent a list of some of the current Foster Dogs. You'll get to pick one of the dogs, and then be their Pal! You'll do all the activities we've listed under that dog's name, or you can come up with other activities to do on their behalf. Your foster dog's family will stay in touch with you to let you know what's going on as they work to get 'your' dog ready to go to the Available Page! |
SOME POSSIBLE ACTIVITIES:
Have your Birthday Party be an FBRN themed party: ask that your guests bring gifts that you can send to a specific foster dog or to any needy foster dog
- Special Tadpole actvity: Play ‘pin the nubbin on the Frenchie’
* Link to FBRN from your MySpace or FaceBook page
* Open a lemonade stand
* Have a car wash
* Do a class or school dog toy drive. Challenge your favorite other class or school; see who can collect the most toys.

* Make a Care Package for a specific needy foster dog or for any of the foster dogs.
* Put your Care Package in a bag that you design, make, and color!
* See how many coins you can collect-- have a contest to see whose coins weigh the most! (Please don’t send the coins, though, have them exchanged for a check or money order.)
WHO BENEFITS:
* YOUR activity may be highlighted on the FBRN Jr. MySpace page or mentioned on the FBRN Blog!
* The lucky dogs who you help raise money and awareness for!
* Teen volunteers-- these activities can become part of your college application; schools like seeing active participation in volunteer organizations.
